From the BC Rules:
QUOTE No subject matter will be allowed whose purpose is to defeat existing copyright or security measures. If a user persists and/or the activity is obviously illegal the staff reserves the right to remove such content and/or ban the user. This would also mean encouraging the use or continued use of pirated software is not permitted, and subject to the same consequences. Since Windows 3 is still under Copyright, it may only be legally acquired by purchasing it from Microsoft or by buying the disks from someone who doesn't use it anymore (try ebay, or craigslist!). Downloading Windows 3, therefore, would be a violation of the Windows EULA and Copyright law in most countries. BleepingComputer does not allow information which would violate such laws or EULA's. That said, it's a fun idea. I did it with VMWare and it was quite an experience. Here's a video of Windows 3.11 booting up in MS VirtualPC (not mine, someone else did this video). Here's a discussion about getting Windows 3.xx running in VirtualPC. This post has been edited by Amazing Andrew: Feb 14 2009, 04:22 PM -------------------- |

It's only in Alpha release, but ReactOS is free to play with.

ReactOS is cool. All Linuxes and BSD's are free and cool. I've heard good things about Plan 9 From Bell Labs. FreeDOS is a free implementation of DOS.

Linux/Ubuntu is a great OS in terms of freeware.
That ReactOS looks very similar to the Windows Classics (95, 98, 2000). Lol, on XP I still use the classic theme. |

haveing some trouble with react os, cusur is messes up, but ill try to fix it. Remember that ReactOS is still in Alpha stage development. That means that it's not feature complete, has lots of stuff missing and may completely fail to work in some cases. -------------------- |
