when you click update new bios it should in theory (I dont know exactly what software your using, its possible that the software that came with your gigabyte board was different then what came with mine) give you a list of available bioses from different servers. just click an older one then one you already got. another option is to download it, put it on diskette and flash the bios, but if you have never done that, I would recomend NOT DOING IT. because the smallest messup could fry your motherboard. my guess is the beeping sound is a conflict with the memory and the motherboard/settings, whether its a voltage error, or whatever, and updating the bios just made it worse. that is my guess, you might want to take it to a local computer technician and let him look at it and see whats wrong.

First, FPS does not mean "Feet" per second in computer terms, it's "Frames" per second.
Now, we need to know the specs on that RAM you installed as it's entirely possible that it's not fully supported at it's current clocking.
The beeoing is coming from your MotherBoard and is a code that can tell us what the problem is. You say it has now changed to two short beeps? I'll check to see if I can find the BIOS version your MB has but if you can post the BIOS name and version this will help (Award, Phoenix..etc)
Edit - sorry, I see you posted your BIOS version. Will check your beep code and reply

Error Message
Description
1long, 2 short - Video adapter error Either video adapter is bad or is not seated properly. Also, check to ensure the monitor cable is connected properly.
Repeating (endless loop) Memory error Check for improperly seated or missing memory.
1long, 3short - No video card or bad video RAM Reseat or replace the video card.
High frequency beeps while running - Overheated CPU Check the CPU fan for proper operation. Check the case for proper air flow.
Repeating High/Low - CPU Either the CPU is not seated properly or the CPU is damaged. May also be due to excess heat. Check the CPU fan or BIOS settings for proper fan speed.
I would look at your CPU cooling to make sure you didn't jar the CPU cooler during the RAM changes, or cause the fan to become blocked or damaged.
If you know how, or have a friend who does, I would remove the CPU fan and heatsink, remove the old paste and reapply a proper heat paste (Arctic Silver) and reseat the CPU heatsink and fan after it is cleaned up. I think you are overheating.
