ugh, i just built the computer a month ago, but anyways, i installed the new updates for windows x64, a killbit thing, and something else, turned off my computer to go to work this morning, came home from school, turned it on, took a little longer to boot, got to the desktop, and crashed, with error
"stop: 0x0000003b" (0x00000000c0000005, 0xfffff80001293ce1, 0xfffffadf7e63e090, 0x0000000000000000)
system_service_exception
beginning dump of physical memory
physical memory dump complete
i did a search on the stop error, and it gave me this "http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotfix.aspx?kbnum=941410&kbln=en-us#step1"
so that sounds like it could be my issue, but my computer is a dual boot, xp professional, and x64, and x64 crashes once it gets to the desktop, so how can i go about fixing this? i would have to download the hotfix, save it to the desktop of my x64, go into safe mode and run it? im not sure if i can get in safe mode yet, havent tried...
any help is appreciated.

well i am able to get into safe mode on my x64, but the hotfix didnt work, but i booted from last known good configuration, and that worked, must have something to do with those 2 updates i installed last night or this morning, cant remember when, but i turn my computer off everyday before i go to work, and it started fine the day before, so...

thanks for the advice louis, but sadly it didnt work, it wouldnt even let me install the hotfix. so then i tried going to the windows update page, and tried installing some new updates, but that didnt work either, and every time i restarted my computer, it would get to the desktop and say "windows has recovered from a serious error" or whatever it says, sometimes it would pop-up a few times one after the other, then it would say it cant send the error report... i ran chkdsk and found nothing, so i tried system restore, and that worked, but im still worried something isnt right with it, and dont know what else to do really...
