BleepingComputer.com: An issue with FlashFetcher.dll

I wasn't sure where to post this. I don't think it's a virus or something malicious like that (I could be wrong).

Anyways, this program (FlashFetcher) is from GeoVid, and it had an entry in the add/remove programs list. I removed it, but the GeoVid folder hung around with some stuff in it. So I tried to just delete it and my computer told me I needed permission to do that. On my admin account, it also wouldn't let me remove the folder. I thought about just going into my registry and deleting all the lines that had something to do with FlashFetcher.dll but nothing to do with any of my system stuff, but then I also thought that messing around in my registry when I don't know much about it is a bad idea. I figured maybe someone here knows what to do (actually I figured that a lot of people here know what to do, but maybe some of you wouldn't mind telling me too). I realize my description isn't awsome, so if there's information needed I'll supply it.

Edit: Re-reading I realized I didn't ask anything specific. What I want is to get rid of FlashFetcher.dll specifically and the whole GeoVid folder generally. How can I get rid of it if I can't just delete it in the normal method?

Look through the folder for an uninstaller and use it if there is one.
You can also try Revo uninstaller

Well actually, there was nothing left from the original installation aside from this one file. But I figured it out, I'm embarassed to say. All I had to do was start up in safe mode and do it that way. I came across that idea on this site. I hadn't thought of it, which I should have.

What I'm wondering now though is how to go about cleaning up the registry stuff. All the registry lines associated with FlashFetcher.dll are still there. And for all I know, a bunch of stuff associated with GeoVid, even though it's no longer around. Is there a way to do that safely short of paying for some registry cleanup program or bumbling around myself backing everything up constantly incase I mess something important up?
