Hi,

When trying to rename a cataloque Vista says "you need permission to perform this action".
Who am I to ask for this permission - Bill Gates perhaps?
The cataloque name includes $ sign if it has something to do with it.
One more thing, how do I make the file endings (.doc .exe etc.) visible in the file structure?

Thank you for any advice,
Martti

Hi, we had the same issue at work, go to control panel>user accounts>turn user account contraol off.
To view file extensions >right click on the Vista orb>explore>organise>folder and search options>view>on the radio button deselect "hide extensions for know file types"
