hi guys its been a long time since i have posted. i just finished my exams and hopefully i'll buy my new pc within this week. just a last doubt. will the above suggested intel configuration (of patriot) support vista 64 bit. though i'm planning to install vista 32bit but i might upgrade after 2 years. and also since the config was suggested in feb any new suggestions are welcome. remember budget is within $900. since prices have come down i'm thinking of buying quad core. so what changes should i do in the config. thanks

yes it will. both the AMD line of CPUs as well as the intel core 2 (if you were to go intel) are 64 bit processors, in fact nearly all modern CPUs are 64 bit processors, and will run with either a 32 bit operating system or a 64 bit Operating system. Just be warned though, I cant remember how much ram I recomended and I dont know how much your going with, but a 32 bit OS will not recognize more then 3.25 or so gig of ram, so if you have more then that the excess ram will be useless. In reality, if you buy the OEM OS from Newegg, the 64 bit costs the same as the 32 bit, Id just start out with 64. I did, and for the most part its done everything I needed to and is pretty backwards compatible overall. :D

looks like a good setup to me. Like Ive stated previously, Im typically a Gigabyte/ASUS fan as far as motherboards are concerned, but I have also used Biostars before and have been generally very happy with their performance. I would though, if you ever plan on going crossfire in the future, go with a 750-850 watt power supply to allow for future expansion, 650 is going to be pushing it if you ever wanted to crossfire. But other then that, looks like its gonna be a good system, enjoy. :D
P.S. ALWAYS go logitech as far as mice/keyboards are concerned, especially if you go wireless. nothing compares to a good logitech setup. and dont give microsoft any more money then you have to hehe ;)
