How to Burn an ISO File

Guide Overview

The purpose of this guide is to teach you how to correctly burn an ISO file to a CD or DVD.

Tools NeededInstructions
  1. First, ensure you don't already have a piece of software installed which knows how to handle an ISO file. You can test this by double clicking on the file.
  2. If that doesn't work, download IMGBurn, and save it to your desktop. (Link above)
  3. Double click the file on your desktop, and follow the onscreen instructions to install IMGBurn.
  4. Start IMGBurn by going to Start -> All Programs -> IMGBurn -> IMGBurn
  5. Push the button.
  6. Select your target ISO file by clicking on the button and browsing to the target file.
  7. Insert a blank CD or DVD disk into your CD or DVD burner.
  8. Push the button.

IMGBurn will burn your ISO image file to a disk and report when it has finished.
