Hi pcSOslow,
Another trick is to boot into Safe Mode in Command Mode only - before you do this make a note of the path to the folder e.g., C:\Docum~1\User\Docume~1\Empty (=C:\Documents and Settings\User\Documents\Empty). When in Safe mode you will automatically be taken to the Administrator account to get back to where you want to be enter "cd .." and press the enter key - this will take you back one directory. then use the "cd" command to go to the users folder you want to get to and once in the directory where "Empty" resides try to rename the file as "Empt.old" then try to delete by going back one step to the directory it resides in and enter "DEL Empty.old" - sometimes it will work in safe mode, sometimes it doesn't. If not reboot as normal, go to the directory where you now have "Empty.old" and delete - also make sure the file is not checkmarked as "read only" on its property tab.

regards,
