I was warned not to do this ... but I don't know what bumping entails :flowers:

Hey Palladin. "Bumping" is the act of posting a reply to your own topic for the purposes of making the topic move to the top of the list when members look at the forum (since most people have the topics sorted by date by default)

Is it considered "bumping" to post later thoughts on a problem or post? And is that the idea behind the "Colbert bump"?

Not if it's to add pertinent information to the topic. The only caveat is if you do it too many times, people will look at the post count and assume you are getting help.

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
Do not send me PMs with problems that should be posted in the forums. Keep it in the forums, so everyone benefits

Thanks everyone for the insight. I will avoid bumping ... unless it is relevant

:flowers: Sorry I missed your birthday Boopme! Happy belated birthday!

Can you set your post #8 to a song? Maybe BC could have a filk track among its offerings at its store, to help people who are surfing the net for solutions to their various computer problems and appropriate offerings for their various moods: gaming, satire, sentiment, luuuv, political fury? The problem would be with copyrighted materials. You are off to a good start!

Does boopme refer to Betty Boop?
