AVG update not updating

I am using AVG 7.0 and It says it needs to be updated but when I run the update it gets to 69% complete n then just stops! Ive tried restarting my computer and trying it again but the same thing happens. I even left it for an hour and still it was frozen on 69%. Can anyone help?
