Hello :flowers:

When we were reformatting and reinstalling Windows on our main drive, we accidentally deleted the partition on our secondary hard drive which contained alot of our pictures, videos, music, etc. we've had over 12 years. We need to recover this data if possible without paying an arm and a leg for a recovery program. Windows XP (Pro) is not recognizing that we have a secondary drive (we believe it's because it currently has no partition - it won't show up in the list under "My Computer").

We had to reformat the main drive due to being infested by spyware/trojans and my husband accidentally ended up deleting a partition on the secondary drive during the process.

We have tried using a program called "Recuva" but it will not recognize the secondary drive and most other programs are trial programs(will scan drive and tell you it found certain sectors like Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery).

We are running Windows XP Pro. I believe the secondary drive was formatted to Fat32 (it was in a system running Windows 98 prior to being installed in this computer and also was a backup drive on that computer so it never had an operating system on it ever). We used it to only store and back-up various files on it (The secondary is a Western Digital 18.2g drive).

There are only 2 in this machine (including the secondary).

Are there any free programs/utilities that might be a last hope?

I am in Device Manager at the moment and see the secondary drive listed under disk drives.

Thanks so much for any and all help/advice in advance!
