Bleeping computer is how I feel right now! Back up help

Hello,

I am hoping that you will be able to help me where the customer service techies have screwed up.

I contacted CS for assistance with a program - what I needed was a program reinstalled and what I go was a wiped hard drive. So... the proceedure that they took me through did perform a back up before wiping, only God knows what.

If I look at my C drive I have about 59 GB used (which was about what I had on my computer before the help from CS). My problem is restoring the information from the backup (do you know they created the stinking problem, but it is not covered for them to help me restore the back up and they told me to take it into a shop. I LIVE IN UKRAINE THERE IS NO SHOP!!!!!!!!! Ok, I feel a little better now :huh:

).

So, my need is help to restore the back up made before my hard drive was wiped clean.

What is the make and model of the computer?
Exactly what procedure did you use to make the backup?

I have a Gateway M-153S. They told me to go into the gateway recovery program and do a proceedure with back up. The gateway recovery program has disappeared from the start up menu now.

I am to the point I am just ready to wipe everything and start over.... actually tried to do that with the OS disc, but it will not allow me to wipe everything from the HD. If I try to recover from my last back up program it ends up overwhelming the computer and I have less than 11GB available on my HD. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated!
