I recently upgraded to FF 3.0.5 with a clean installation so I don't have any add ons installed and I'm using a fresh profile. I'm seriously considering reformatting my HD. IE also runs faster than FF does in regular mode.

Also, in my internet connection settings I have two services running seem to be related to Bittorrent even though I uninstalled it recently. I see DNA (TCP) & DNA (UDP) services running on port 15957.

Registry cleanup seems to be making a difference. http://www.tweakguides.com/Firefox_3.html
