Why do laptops hang when they are used in web conference? I also noticed that laptops heat up so fast during web cons.

The CPU is doing a lot of work, hence the heat. You might want to add more memory if possible

Use the Memory Advisor tool, at Crucial.
Just plug in your computer specs, and Crucial will recommend the max amount, and type of RAM, best suited for your laptop.
