Internet is slow

My computer is very slow on the internet.

The problem happened after I loaded 2 CD's on the computer. The computer locked up and when I started the computer it was slow.

The computer document , picture files appear to move normal.

It is a Compak 2.6 GHz Presario, Intel Celeron, XP.

Any ideas for me to repair this thing???
