Realsoz
This name came about when I was stoned in a rubbish chatroom at the age of seventeen. Always in search of a handle I don't have to put a number in front of, I had named myself Gettybum. It all suddenly went quiet in the room so I started typing things, unfortunately if you're the only person to hit Enter four times in a row you get kicked and banned for ten minutes. This not being site where you had to register I went back in with the name Realsoz (Really Sorry) as a sarcastic riposte to the overzealous room admin. It turned out no one had ever had that name and as yet in 10 years no one else has. So I am and continue to be Real Soz... 'Bout That. thumbup2.gif

I have never revealed this informationz before ('cept to me sistah and two other guys), so if you read the following you automatically agree to a NDA:

Both parts of my "handle" come from names of polar curves (in geometry, not geography). Yeah, that's interesting, innit?

Actually, the story behind it is very interesting.

I was in 11th grade, and was taking some advanced math class. I came across the words lituus & limacon while studying some chapters. I am also a big Harry Potter sorcerer.gif fan. So, months later, when I wanted to write a fan-fiction story, while looking for a "potter-y" name for my lead character, I went through the index of my math book. I remembered seeing some words that sounded good. Eventually, I found that the combination Lituus Limacon worked well. I even found a middle name: Lissajous, another curve.

Later, I adopted that name as my interwebs alias. Wherever I am on the interwebs, I use this alias to protect my privacy. I also penned the fanfic with this pseudonym, but never finished it. I only give my real name when there is stuff to be won (or for official stuff)

I now hold a blog called The Palace of Limacon & use the shortened allias _||_ (two L-s back-to-back, really imaginative rolleyes.gif )

Hi Everyone,

I got my name from being an ex Interstate Tour Coach Captain.
Some Swedish and French tourist that were on tour gave me the nickname and its stuck with me. laugh.gif
Due to a Heart Attack in 2004, I had to retire early (now aged 56), and have embarked on various IT courses; MVP being the latest I have achieved.
I think I am going to enjoy this place.

A good old farm boy from South Carolina by the name of "Tater" gave me this nickname while we served in the Navy.

Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. The best way to teach a child is to lead by example. Children watch EVERYTHING YOU DO!!
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth, Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Believe in Jesus, believe he died to atone for your sins, believe God raised him from the dead. Invite Jesus into your life. Believe these things, and I will see you in heaven.
