I seem to have developed a problem with itunes.

I can no longer play any music. When i select a file to play, the play button changes to a pause button but the black diamond does not move along the scrolling bar!
The programme does not crash or anything of the sort.
I have recently bought an iphone and synced my music to it, which seems to play fine.

Any help, is greatly appreciated!!

thanks,
vishal

the time i ran into this was because the path to the file was not right.
if you have itunes set to copy your music to the itunes folder this will probably not happen.
in my case my music is kept in another folder on another drive and itunes keeps a link to that music in the itunes folder.
if you reorganize the music in that folder by making new folders or renaming songs then the path changes and itunes will just sit there as you described.
example of path is (D:\music\theband\stagefright.mp3) this is where the song is on my computer. if i move my music folder to the C drive the path is now (C:\music\theband\stagefright.mp3) and itunes cannot find it until you add the new location to your library.
