I have a problem with a flash drive that I have, It was working perfectly but when i got a virus on my computer, and my usb was plugged, the virus got onto my flash drive, now i've managed to clear out the virus but there are still a few signs of infection like when i search "avg" in google, the page automatically shut down and i can't access malwarebytes. I have trojan remover 6.75 which i scanned the file with and it detected it as a trojan downloader. Furthermore whenever i double click on my flash from my computer nothing happens however when i type it in the address bar it comes up. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

Have you tried using HijackThis?

http://majorgeeks.com/downloadget.php?id=3...a8baee6434cfc13

If you can manage to download it, start the program and click on "Scan and save a logfile." Then post the logfile (it will pop up as a text file) in this thread so peoples can take a look at it.

Keep in mind, however, that there is a separate thread for malware issues.

Can you still get into the task manager?

Press ctrl+alt+del to get into the task manager and click on processes. That should give you a list of the processes running in the background of your computer. If you can copy down the items on that list we may be able to narrow down exactly what we're dealing with here.

To get rid of the file on you USB drive:

You said you couldn't access malwarebytes. Does that mean you can't install it; or that you already have it installed and can't update/run it?

If you can run it, you may be able to delete the file from your USB stick using the FileAssassin utility under the more tools tab. Otherwise, we may have to shut down whatever's protecting it, first.
