I am trying to update Adobe Reader and I get the following error:
Error 1402.Could not open key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\OptionalComponents\MSFS. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

I have recently had help in the malware section of this website to remove malware from my computer. I am worried that something may have gotten deleted that should not have. I encountered this error when tryin to update Adobe Reader to the most recent version for better security.

Here is the thread from where I got help with the malware.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Laura

Adobe always has been a PITA
I would ditch it entirely and try Foxit. Much less bloated

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
Do not send me PMs with problems that should be posted in the forums. Keep it in the forums, so everyone benefits
