Hi

Is there a way to hide a folder and for it not to show up when doing a search within the drive?

Thanks.

I'm guessing that you have a file that you don't want another user seeing? This probably isn't what you are looking for, but it's sneaky enough to work. Place the file in the recycle bin. You could also just keep the file on a flash drive which can be removed from the computer when not in use.

If your system is set to "Don't show hidden and system files", you can simply give your file a "hidden" attribute via right-click => properties. But, if the user changes system settings to "show hidden files" he will find it.

If you want to hide files more seriously, TrueCrypt is a way to go.

the best option is not to store files on this PC, of course =)
