dvzmsgr.exe dvzmsgr.exe processor takeover

The processor on my Dell Inspiron 6000 gets taken over by dvzmsgr.exe. Hotsync.exe will do the same thing. Sometimes the two processes compete for processor resources. I have to end them to free up my processor. The forum at Palm has not helped. Further digging directed me to this from google:

This recommends disabling the process from starting up. How do I do that without uninstalling?
