Some time ago I installed Avast Antivirus. I had AVG at the same time as i installed it. Avast was not doing any good so i uninstalled it. During that proccess there was an error. The program still showed up in my toolbar so I downloaded a file that helped me with the removal. It worked, but now every time I start up my computer there is a red square in the bottom corner that says something about an avast error. Every time I click it a box co
es up that says avast would like to restart your computer. When I click yes my computer restarts then the box comes up again. I have Vista and I have repeatedly tried uninstalling avast but it just wont work. Please help. thank you

Thank you both for your answers. I have successfully removed the red box with appscout. I tried the uninstall utility a while ago and it failed.
