BleepingComputer.com: Dell Inspiron 1520 Battery Light

Hey everyone,

My dad's laptop is having a problem. It's a Dell Inspiron 1520 that he's had for about a year now. The battery indicator light flashes orange four times, then blue once, then orange four times, and so on. I know the battery has definitely not reached its end of life because I'm using the computer now, and it's telling me that I have a little over four hours remaining. Has anyone else experienced this? From doing a little research, some people have complained to Dell and received a new battery. I just wasn't sure if there was a special remedy for the problem instead of getting a replacement. Any thoughts?
