Security Center Service missing and Security Center won't start

Hi
I just noticed that my Security Center in Vista won;t start and when I try it says Securty Center can't be started. When I look for the service it is not there and I have searched and tried all the articles found on Google. Can anyone help me with this.
I also ran sfc /scannow and it said 100% fine.

I've encountered this at work quite frequently over the last couple of weeks - and it's usually the result of a malware infection.
