It says that Firefox 2.0.0.20 is the last update planned for Firefox 2. Firefox 3 will not install on Windows ME. Will Firefox still be the recommended browser for ME? (This computer still works fairly well, except when the humidity is too high in the summer.)

Firefox 2.0.0.20 is the last version used on Win9x/ME and you don't want to use that you could always use Opera 9.63. There is no such thing as which browser is recommended for WinME, its what you find useful. I've tried Firefox 2.0.0.20 and Opera 9.63 on my Win98SE, didn't particularly like them so I still use IE6.0 SP1 even thou it does crash occasionally.

I fully agree with Keith. I have IE6.0 SP1 on 2 98se installs and Firefox 1.0.7 on another; only reason for the Firefox install a couple years ago was to see if it was any faster than IE.

It wasn't. Still isn't.
