slow computer,did iam overloading my pc........

hi guys,
iam having compaqpresarrio p4(3.06GHZ) with 1GB RAM.and comodo firewall ,avast antivirus,spybot(teatimer) are always running at the background.still i can see in task manager that available physical memory as 534488 K.

but my computer is very slow both at start and while running any games.and even sometimes during start my network connections also fails to connect ,then i have to restart the modem.

do i am running too many programs or is there any problem with my pc. or do i need increase my RAM.

somebody tell me what to do ....................need help ................ :thumbsup:

I suggest stopping Tea Timer.

I have used Spybot for eons, but I never run Tea Timer (I did once as a trial and believe that it slowed the system). IMO, Tea Timer does not do anything that is truly essential and is considered a memory hog by some.

1GB of RAM is OK, 2GB of RAM would be better.

hi hami thanks for repliying,

actually my question is

teatimer uses 49 MB in my 1GB ram .but in taskmanager it shows still i have 487340K memory available.then how only leaving 49MB going to speed up my pc.

and my another question is

and does stopping teatimer reduce my spyware protection to my pc.

but what about my questions please answer that too...............

do i really need teatimer to protect my pc.............is it worth running at the background.....whether stopping it will affect my pc security........or do i have anyother way to speed up my pc............

Teatime basically protects sytem settings that may be changed by Infections.
Its also highly possible most programs will have a teatimer alert pop up because they change some part of the system.

if you want to know if it will reduce your security, then yes it will... but it will also be a system hog; i wont affect your security much and i would be more than happy to help you make up for it if you wish.
