I apologize if this is in the wrong forum but my operating system is Windows Vista so........

I am having problems with my internet, my adapter and my router and my modem are all fine i am working on a wired connection and when i connect through the router it cannot connect but when i connect through the modem i get unidentified network local access only  . When i plug the router into a laptop the internet works fine  (writing from laptop). I tried reformatting and reinstalling but there is no diffrence. I will try to update the drivers but please help as soon as possible.

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
