Hello everybody,
after reading most topic related to my problem I still could not find the solution for my specific problem.
I have a Vista 32 bit home edition (Basic I think) on my laptop (Asus F3).
When turning on the computer the startup can not get past the green "running" bar with the microsoft compagnie text.
After turning the power off (holding the on buttun serveral seconds) and restarting I recieve the "Windows Error Recovery" screen with 2 options:
- Launch Startup Repair -> results in after 1 second the same screen
- Start Windows Normally -> results in the same problem
When starting in Safe mode every thing looks ok only the screen turns black and stays that way, after loading all the drivers.
In "Directory Services Restore Mode" I come to the login screen and then the screen freezes ( do not know what this start up funct does btw)
It does tell me both disks are clean and drivers are ok.
I can reinstall windows using a recovery dvd (and built in software) but want to verify if a couple of files are on the correct disk (D to prevent deleting them).
Have you any clue how to solve my problem preferebly by not whiping data?
