I bought a new laptop earlier today ( fujitsu-siemens amilo notebook http://www.fujitsu-siemens.com/home/produc...lo_li_3910.html ) and unfortunately it came with preinstalled vista home premium.
Right after it started i created a new partition and formatted it and rebooted with my XP PRO OS. It all seemed to go so well until i came to the blue screen and it needed to install, it gave me this error:
"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart yore computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure its properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK/F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF789EA98, 0x0000034, 0x00000000 0x00000000 ***"
After that i decided to leave the new partition be and use vista for now, as i tried to reboot without the XP PRO CD it gave me the error "bootmgr is missing press ctrl+alt+delete to restart" and when i do that it gives me the same message, sending me in and endless loop.
