Hello all,

My son is having problems with Itunes. He tried updating to the latest version. It asked him to restart, when did so, he was told that there was a problem with Quicktime. He ended up by removing quicktime and tried to reinstall. Upon completion of installation, he was given 2 options A) Repair:reinstall itunes replacing missing or damaged files, or cool.gif Remove itunes from this computer.

He attempted option A with no luck, my question is........if he removes itunes and reinstalls it will he(and his sister) lose everything that was in their library, or can it be recovered?

Let me know if you need any more info.

Thanks,

Jim

P.S. I am running windows XP home

I'd try downloading and installing the latest version of Quicktime along with uninstalling iTunes, re-download and install. The iTunes Library shouldn't be affected, it doesn't reside in iTunes.
