Help
My Lenovo came with a whole suite of programs I never use but I am unsure what I can safely remove, I'm looking at "ThinkVantage Productivity Center" and the whole ThinkVantage system that seems to take up a huge chunk of space... also after I remove programs from Startup i still get the popups that say it's been removed from startup

My Thinkpad X61 came with all that stuff (and some more because it's a tablet).
I use the fingerprinter reader a lot, otherwise I don't use any of them.
BUT!!! If I'd have used the Lenovo update stuff, I'd have had my system updated and it wouldn't have crashed with the installation of Vista SP1. A system recovery and getting the Lenovo updates allowed me to install SP1 without issues.
Be careful removing this stuff - it appears to be tied into the system more than with other OEM's. That being said, be sure to have your restore disks handy in case you remove something you need.
