BleepingComputer.com: cannot use or uninstall mcafee after virus removal

I have been fighting to get rid of spywareguard 2008, avenger? and others for awhile. After running malwarebytes, superanti spy, avg I think I may have gotten rid of it. The problem I have now is that my mcafee does not work and it will not let me uninstall it after all of this. Also I cannot run a search on my computer just the little dog shows up and then nothing cannotlog into hotmail going thru internet explorer only though firefox. When I look at my security center it shows that the compter firewall is off but mcafee firewall is up. I do not know about the other security programs that I mentioned above if they have firewalls or how to see if they are turned on or not. I hope you do not need to know all I have done to get rid of this virus because it had taken me about a week and a half and many, many hours to get rid of it if I have. I do not know too much comp. language so if you could answer in simple english please. I forgot to add that I have unistalled AVG thinking that it was interupting the McAfee install but to no avail.
