Oh brother. I have a hefty HP8600 with 4 gig of memory running XP. When i cut and paste in Excel it is dead-dog slow. So slow that the Task manger performace meter just freezes too. No memory or cpu spike occurs.

I tried loading the Service pack 3 for XP to no avail, uninstalled and reinstalled office 2003, installed office 2007 and low and behold the problem stayed the same. There was a mention of the remote clipboard viewer possibly causing the problem so I killed the process and the problem stayed the same.
had heard a mention of Roxio possibly being the culprit but the after uninstalling it the problem remained.

I was wondering is any one else has seen this problem? next year when the user returns i will have him move his stuff to the d: drive and reinstall XP.
