phew....

anyone who has read my latest chapter in the hjt log will understand, i think, why i brought up this topic in the first place.

i have new problems w/my puter..so i post a new hjt log...i am expecting to hear from raw, as we had been working together to clean up my last mess..and did well. however, i got several different people with several different comments..and i immediately check their "titles". i am obviously not going to make any changes for anyone that's a newbie (although, to be fair, they could have a phd in computer science...), and i hesitate to make a change for someone i don't really know.

perhaps the problem isn't the title per se, sir grinler..but i really think that somewhere, somehow, it should be noted WHO is on the "hjt" team..if there is one...or, please, create an hjt team...so that all of us idiots, who are in here, hoping and praying someone will help....know who we can trust. some of us have been battered and beaten already by other websites promising to "clean out" our computers...with the end result possibly being either worse trouble, being charged a "small fee" (define small!) right at the crucial moment, or, if we're VERY lucky...no help at all.

thanx again,

meanwhile, for all the right reasons, I'm goin' to put a disclaimer in my signature to continue to ID my occasional Id iotcy and my well-worn plea to cluebie-ism ... fog with a chance of clearing, or "moderate non-moderator with minimal my advice should work assurances" might work. LOL (especially now that I've created another perfect opportunity for re-formatting that will no doubt be the subject of a post tomorrow...)

When someone posts you can see next to under their name the Group they are in. If they are in the HJT team or are a moderator you can follow their advice and feel comfortable.

If they are in the group members, be wary of the advice even if it is correct as I can not vouch for their expertise.
