Howdy,

Is there a way to remove the date a picture was taken from the picture itself ?

The date is covering a detail in the picture that I would like to see.

(I took the picture and it is stored on my computer.)

Thanks for your time.

Edit: I just Googled it and found several ways it can be done. They seem to be to complicated for my limited computer skills, so I will just live with what I have. I did turn off my time/date stamp on the camera though so this won't happen again.

You can't typically remove a datestamp to reveal a detail from a picture, but it is quite possible to make it appear as if the timestamp was never there, its just the detail is gone.

You just need a program that has a clone stamp tool, and you're good.
