Hi , I'm Allycat and have just got a "new" computer from currys for £88 ! It was a shop display model and it was pure luck !! It's not anything super powerful bit will do the job for a mum at home.. It has Vista (which I've never used) and no extras - no protection .... What would be best? There's a package in the store for Word and microsoft's Vista protection but I've always downloaded AVG or Spybot from internet for nothing . Is it worth buying a programme that is specific for Vista ?
Many thanks in anticipation, a novice user

why won't my laptop work?
Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

As you have Vista and maybe not much memory, you may like to consider Comodo Internet Security, which is very light on your system and comes as a complete protection package free of cost, there is no need to have the paid version as the protection is the same. You could read about it here:
