BleepingComputer.com: adobe flash player(10) installation fails (on IE7)

help!
can't install flash player 10. tried to do it online from adobe site, and also by downloading the installer file.
also used the flash uninstaller to remove old files. the uninstaller seemed to have worked because it removed the flash folder (in systems32/macromed) on its own.

(i could see the installation progress till it came toregistering the flash10.ocx file. then got the message that 'failed to install. visit...')

downloaded SubInACL (as instructed on adobe troubleshhoter) to correct any permission issues.

nothing works.

with mozilla, it went through in a breeze.

please hold a candle in this dark corner...

Download and run Uninstall Flash Player prior to installing new version.
