USB Mouse randomly disconnects, and reconnects without me touching the cord or plug at all. Becomes a real problem when gaming. Also external HDD does the same thing but worse, almost like its static, the noise when you plug a USB device in and the noise when you unplug it keeps repeating and you can't access the drive from My Computer. Just wondering if this is maybe a problem with my USB ports, my mouse, my mobo or what. It just started happening after this last Windows Update so maybe it has something to do with that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it is a problem with the update you could boot in to safe mode using the F8 method, and roll back to before the update using system restore.
If I am helping you and I do not respond within 24 hours, please send me a PM. :)

Make and model of your system please.
Are you sure you're not infected?
Have you updated your motherboard/chipset drivers recently? If not, I'd suggest that as the next step.
