There have been times when I've accidentally copied more than one thing without remembering to paste in between. I wondered if there's a way to get back to these previous entries on the clipboard or if they are simply overwritten?

The Windows clipboard, alas, only can hold one thing at a time. Once that one thing is replaced or the computer is restarted, that one thing is gone forever.

There are programs out there that enable you to have multiple clipboards with continuity between reboots. Do a Google search for "clipbard manager" and see if you find one you like.
