"A problem with the hard drive has been detected.
Press the enter key to continue."
Then, when I press enter the computer boots normally. I was able to create partitions and format the new HDD normally, but still didn't try to write or read anything on it. I ran two diagnostic softwares, HD Tune, and Seatools for Windows, I'll paste below screens from HD Tune, and the log from Seatools.
The HDD with problems is a Seagate ST3500320AS, 500Gb 7200rpm 32Mb Cache SATA 3Gb/s

also, here is what Everest says:

My configuration is
Core2Duo E6550 2.33Ghz
Intel DG35EC
2x1Gb DDR2-800 Kingston
Hard Drives:
Samsung HD321KJ
Seagate ST3500320AS (this is the one with problems)
Optical Drives:
LG GH20NS15
Samsung SH-S203B
Power Suply:
Corsair VX450W
So, as you can see some of the tests failed. I really don't understand anything about these tests, so basically what I want to know is, this could be that I did something wrong in the installation process? Or is it definitely a defective HDD? cause then I can replace it (I just bought it, so it's still under warranty).
One more thing, the intention is to use this as a secondary drive, so there will be no OS installed in it, and I have not tried to boot from it (that's kinda obvious, since the disk is empty), don't know if this matters, anyway.
I know it may seem stupid to ask this, with the hdd being on warranty, but the thing is, here where I live stores take a few days to replace a product, so if I have to use the warranty I'll probably only get my hdd next week (with some luck), and I really need it as soon as possible. Thanks in advance for any help.
