BleepingComputer.com: Trendnet adapter giving me problems

I recently bought a Trendnet TEW-644UB to replace an old linksys adapter i used to have. I also have a Netgear router across my house(about 50 ft away).
The connection is about a constant 50 % and shows that im getting about 24 mbps. But, im only getting about 3 packets per second.

I do get internet, but its really slow and sometimes just stops. I renewed my IP and repaired the connection multiple times. when i pinged yahoo.com and google.com, i only got 3/4 packets back. Im wondering if theres something else i could do.
