What can you guys recommend for the best utility suite? The two that I know of are Norton Systemworks and Iolo's System Mechanic. Any suggestions?

 I'm new here too, but thats a hard one for me. I've used Norton Systemworks, Advance System Optimizer, and others, generally being disappointed. Perhaps thats why I hang out here. Maybe it would be better to be more specific with a particular problem that you may be having. These guys and gals are great in solving problems. I used to play with these general utilities alot (for fun). There's tons of em out there though. Buy typing "software utility suite" in goggle, you'll get about 3,000,000 hits. Personaly I do visit-tucows.com,snapfiles.com,cnet.com,pcworld.com occasionally

Regards,
AriMan

I don't know Iolo's System Mechanic so cannot comment on that but Norton Systemworks I regard as a waste of resources. What does it do for you that you cannot do with a standalone program that does not "integrate" itself with your system?

Soltek QBIC, Pentium 4 3.0GHz, 512MB RAM, 200GB SATA HDD, ATI Radeon 9600XT 256MB, Netgear 54Mb/s WAP, ridiculously expensive Satellite Broadband
Windows XP Home SP2, Trend Micro Internet Security, Firefox, Thunderbird, AdAwareSE, Spybot S&D, SpywareBlaster, A-squared Free, Ewido Security Suite.

I'm not having any problems right now. But I like to have a utility on hand, to keep my computer in decent condition.

It has been my general experience that using individual applications each designed with a particular purpose yields better results than a suite that takes a "shotgun" approach and ends up being a jack of all trades but a master of none.
