BleepingComputer.com: network printing

I don't have a print server, so my second computer prints through this one, via our wifi. The problem is, when i try to print to my printer on the main computer, it only prints blank pages unless i disconnect the printer that the laptop uses. Any ideas on how to keep hem both available? I don't know much about printing through the network, someone else set it up. I tried changing the default printer, but of course that changed nothing. The one that is printing blank is an epson printer/fax/scanner/copier. the other that the laptop generally prints to is an hp vivera.
