Compaq Presario AMD Sempron Processor 3200+ 984MHz 224MB RAM Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 Hello everyone. Recently, I have been working on my mother's computer and I decided to run the built in System Recovery that is prompted at start-up and in windows as well. When I attempted to run the system recovery, I ran right into a brick wall. When I pressed F10 at startup, I was lead to the loading screen for System Recovery, immediately following another loading screen with the Compaq logo. Immediately, I am lead to a blue screen with the following error. STOP:c000021a Fatal System Error The Windows Logon Process System Process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000034 (0x00000000 0x00000000) I know this has something to do with the system files because I have gone over other forums that discuss problems and repairs with a similar issue. However, most of their issues caused them to have no access to windows at all. In fact, I can easily access windows and use the programs installed on her computer. There's only a few startup programs that fail such as svchost.exe .. I hope that, because of the special case that I still have access to windows that someone may be able to help me bypass this issue. I will very much appreciate any suggestions you all may have. |

I've attempted all of the recommended options listed in that and many other threads for repairing this problem to no avail. Currently, I'm using a software that will (hopefully) recover the lost system files necessary to run the system restore. I will update my progress as it goes. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
