Has this ever happened before?
Does it only shutdown with that program, or does do it with other programs? Since the main thing that changed is the power supply, it makes me wonder if you purchased a faulty one. Maybe, other components were damaged by the old one, or when it was changed. Do you have something that you can test all of the other components on your computer? Most newer machines have their own diagnostic software to test hard disk, memory, etc. Joshuacat -------------------- JC

Another thing...If it is only with this program, you could try to re-install it to see if that fixes the problem.

What kind of DVD's are you trying to burn?
If you're looking for a DVD data burning program, I can recommend Deep Burner A good free program, that's easy to use. -------------------- I love being married.

Have you tried to use another burning program?
Does it do the same thing as Sonic MyDVD? -------------------- I love being married.

Can you burn CD's? As TG1911 suggests try another burner software and let us know.
When you change something, and it works before and not after the change, it makes me think that it could be the PSU. Someone could correct me, but I believe it takes a lot of resources, and power to burn a DVD. Could you return the PSU and get another? Is the system still under warranty? Was the PSU a warranty replacement from HP? Although it is strange that it didn't reboot when you were doing the system tests... Let us know. -------------------- JC
