Yes, editing programs require a large amount of memory and CPU power. With 4 GB you're good, but if you can get a second memory kit, bringing RAM up to 8 GB, you'll be even better. If you're doing high quality sound editing, you might want to get a sound card later on. If you're more of a hobbyist you'll be good to go with on-board sound. As for video editing, your video card is fast. As a suggestion, try to get an editing program that uses 64-bit, like ADOBE PREMIERE PRO CS4. A 64-bit compatible program will take advantage of faster 64-bit instruction sets and/or increased memory limits giving more speed to the editing process. As a bigger bonus, your CPU is a Black Edition meaning it has an unlocked multiplier allowing for easier overclocking. If I had to buy a new PC, and I'm a gamer, I would purchase it knowing that I could squeeze plenty of power out of it and upgrade it without concern later on.
