More IE 6 hanging probs IE Hangs and goes intermittently

Hi all,
I have a problem with IE6 in that it browses for 5 to 10 secs and then hangs for 5 to 20secs. I have ASDL connection on 1.4g P4 with 256memory. I have also been having hang probs with 100% cpu usage whick seem to right after unplugging power from modem. Could this be caused by modem drivers or something more sinister that a loley carpenter can't hit with his hammer?

Soory ,need to add using XP Pro SP2
