Whenever I start up my computer I get a series of errors in MSVCRT. First is Securitypatch5665, then Is-jrpvd and several others. After reading several threads from people that had similar problems I downloaded the SDFix program. It gives me an error that "Windows cannot find %systemdrive%\SDFix\Apps\installed.txt". Now that I have totally screwed it up - any thoughts

It appears that you probably are infected with various malware issues.
Securitypatch5665 & is-jrpvd are not valid Windows 98 programs or files.
I would start by downloading and running SuperAntiSpyware
www.superantispyware.com
Download, install and update the program.
Do the complete scan. It could take several hours depending on how full your hard drive is.
Remove everything that it finds.
Thats a decent starting point
SDFix should only be run upon specific instruction to do so as it is a very specialized tool.

In the beginning there was the command line.

Are you sure you've posted in the correct forum? Windows 9x-ME doesn't use %systemdrive% WinNT does.

I only get the "%systemdrive% error after I downloaded and tried to run the SDFix program which it seems was jumping the gun. That is the only time it comes up. Thanks for the input Keith!
