I called blockbuster and Gamestop, but neither of them offer it...

I just don't want ot drop my scratched xbox 360 games off at the over priced prorpietary computer fixing joint, when I could get a deal for like $3 a disk somewhere rather common...

Thanks

I may have posted about this before, but anyway. If you have discs that are scratched (not gouged lol there is a point of no return) I have used a product with great success.. for game and music CD's. It is called Disk Skip Fixer and it is made by GameStop.. I have saved quite a few Cd, and games with it. I was pleasantly surprised.

I hope I did not misintepret what you meant ph7ryan

ya...but I have the good old fashion....well...not old fashion but whatever...xbox 360 console scratch...I have tried the toothpaste trick multiple times, and it doesn't seem to do the trick...it is a fairly deep scratch...not a crater, but the usual ring shape the renders your disk playless....

I guess I can try that, but I would rather just have a full blown buffer machine do it the right way...

Need a CD repair or DVD repair? Most discs that skip or will not play are due to scratches and other general wear and tear. Most of which can be fixed. We gently resurface and polish the discs so they are as good as new.

 ....are you saying you were tipping it while a disc was running?

Also, I've heard of the toothpaste trick, but I don't even know if that works or not....let alone if it really does work (maybe Mythbusters can test this one and see if it really works :flowers: ).

You might want to use what Pandy and Animal suggested. So long as the scratch isn't a deep gouge (sp?), those places can probably fix it (actually, I never needed to clean a disc of scratches.....yet...)

....um........shutting up.

You're very welcome.

I deleted the unnecessary quotes used to reply. As a suggestion to reduce the unnecessary quotes and cluttering up of threads and making them almost unreadable. Please use the following guidelines:

When replying to a post, don't use the Reply button under the post, unless there is something specifically in the post, that you want to quote.

Use either the button at the top of the page labeled Add Reply, or one of the 2 buttons at the bottom of the page, labeled Fast Reply, and Add Reply.

Please excuse my error. :flowers: You are correct. I misposted. I need to edit my response to reflect the change, that that button no longer exists in the forum software.

 Don't worry. We all make mistakes, so it's no big deal.
