ok i got a few probs with my computer
am not sure if i should i do a reformat
but if i do my brother will annoy the s*** out of me saying that am bad at computers and am a id*** so i dont want to format and reinstall
problom 1
in device manager under system devices theres a yellow ! next to Plug and Play BIOS Extension.
i go into the properties and it says: The NTKERN.VXD device loader(s) for this device could not load the device driver. to fix this click update driver
and i go update driver and it cant find any thing
then i go to Driver
and it says for
Vax347b.sys
and it says Provider:file not installed
file version:file not installed
copyright:file not installed
and if i go to Universal serial bus controllers
its theres a green ? under :
Generic USB hub
intel® 82801AA USB universal controller
USB composite device
USB Mass storage device

and theres no green ? under
USB root hub

when i go into the 4 usb things they all say:
this device is working propelry

if some features of this device are not working you may need to update the drivers for this device

to do this click update

But i click update and it says it found the drivers but windows are using them allready but it install some thing becasue of the box thing comes up and says copying and things for about 5 secs.

but when i go into intel® 82801AA USB universal controller and then driver and then driver file details and shows a few files. the file : HOTPLUG.DLL says:
provider:unknown
file version: unknown
copy right : unknown

problom 2
games are not starting
these games here are not starting il2 sturmovik, uru ages beyond myst,doom 3
now doom 3 may not work any way because of my cpu being to slow But il2 sturmovik, uru ages beyond myst have aways worked before i uesd to play il2 sturmovik and uru ages beyond myst all the time but now they just dont start up
i uesd to play uru about 3 mouths ago and it worked great and il2 sturmovik i uesd to play about a year and a half ago
and i got much more then the minamal requirements

my computer:
384mb of sd ram
nvidia geforce 4 mx 440 se 64mb pci with 89.81 force ware drivers
933mhz pentium 3 256kb L2 cache
yamaha DS-XG pci audio Codec (WDM)
directx version: directxx 9.0C [4.09.0000.0904]
the newest keneralex thing

Games that are working:
farcry
mafia
freelancer
starwars battle front (very slow but may becasue my comp not powerful )

Did this problem occur suddenly, or did you always have this?

Vax347b.sys belongs to the program Alcohol 120%. If you don't have that I would assume you have some malware

i uesd to have Alcohol 120% but i unstalled it and then about a week after the uninstall i did a system restore becasue i did some thing and it restored the registry
now the computer thinks it ready installed and wont let me reinstall Alcohol 120% becasue it thinks its installed allready

Download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and see if there are any references to Alcohol 120. If there are, tick the box and run the utility and see if that helps

The Windows Installer Cleanup Utilty doesnt work with Windows 98

Sounds like there are multiple USB devices plugged in that the system cant recognize.
What USB devices are attached?

and a packard bell HID compliant Wheel mouse Manufacturer: Logitech and a keyboard
